So if you need to download or upload files or directories, FTP is your best solution. It’s an easy way to help manage your account. You’ll need a few things in order to begin, an FTP client (I use Filezilla), your username, and your server IP addresss.

To find your Server IP: carvertown.com/how-to-find-your-server-ip
To find your Username: carvertown.com/how-to-find-your-username
Open up Filezilla
Now put in your server IP on host, your username, and then for the password put in your cPanel password.
You are now connected to your users root directory. You will see directories such as public_html, mail, and etc.
